Thanksgiving Turkey Fruit Platter

This colorful turkey fruit platter display is your perfect Thanksgiving appetizer and quite a conversation piece! An ordinary fruit platter becomes extraordinary when made in the shape of a Thanksgiving turkey!

This amazing turkey fruit platter is super easy to make and uses very simple and common fruits! The body of the turkey is made of a pear, the eyes of chocolate chips or raisins, the cantaloupe nose, and the feathers are made of alternating layers of fruits of different colors!

You can use any fruit for turkey feathers, as long as they are different colors! Whatever fruit on sale, you can put it in this fruit display :) There are no rules - you can be creative with this turkey fruit platter!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup cantaloupe pieces
  • ½ cup of grapes
  • 1½ cups strawberries
  • ½ pear
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 2 tangerines
  • 2 chocolate chips or raisins (for the eyes)
  • 2 apples, sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix the apple slices in the lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
  2. Put half a pear at the bottom of the large tray to make a turkey body, as shown in the photo.
  3. Put the grapes around the pear.
  4. Put the cantaloupe pieces around the grapes.
  5. Put the blueberries around the cantaloupe pieces.
  6. Put the strawberries around the blueberries.
  7. Put the tangerine slices around the strawberries.
  8. Put the apple slices on top to make the top feathers.
  9. With the knife, cut the holes in a pear for the eyes and the nose.
  10. Put the chocolate chips or raisins for the eyes.
  11. Cut the small triangle from the cantaloupe piece and place it on the pear instead of a nose.
  12. Put 2 tangerine slices on the bottom of the pear to make turkey legs.
