Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes: such a fun treat for a birthday party! Try this easy hack that will make cooking and transportation a breeze!

Ice cream cone cupcakes are such fun treats for a child's birthday! They would also be perfect for a class party. You can decorate them as you see here, or use holiday-specific colors for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, or July 4th.

It's an ice cream cone baked with cake inside and topped with frosting that looks like soft ice cream.

They're adorable, but the first time I went to make them, I was completely confused as to how to keep the cones straight while cooking!

How to bake ice cream cone cupcakes

  • It's as simple as covering a 9 × 13-inch pan with aluminum foil and making small holes in the aluminum foil to press the ice cream cones into it.
  • You can use any rectangular pan you have on hand.
  • I like to use strong aluminum foil (I feel it is more solid), but the regular type will work too!
  • Use the tip of a sharp paring knife to cut the small x's in the aluminum foil. When you push the ice cream cones, they open the x's to the right size, so the cones are supported. You can fill the ice cream cones with any dough you like! This idea is fully customizable.
